An award-winning bakery in Somerville is planning to expand to a second space.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Yafa Bakery & Cafe on Somerville Avenue is looking to open another location in Davis Square, with the Cambridge Somerville Independent mentioning that it will move into the space on Elm Street where Posto had been before it moved to Assembly Row. The original location is known for its Palestinian foods including spinach and cheese rolls, hummus, Jerusalem bread, baklava, dates, sandwiches, and coffee.
Yafa Bakery & Cafe has received multiple "best of" awards from both Boston Magazine and The Boston Globe since opening its doors in 2022.
