Old Colony Brewing in Whitman Is Closing

A brewery in the southern suburbs of Boston is shutting down.

According to a source, Old Colony Brewing in Whitman is getting ready to close its doors, with an Instagram post from the Washington Street spot saying the following:

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closure of Old Colony Brewing. Over the past several years, operating this brewery has been a labor of love. Unfortunately the combination of rising costs alongside sales dropping has made continuing to stay open unsustainable. 

The post mentions that the last day in operation for Old Colony Brewing will be Saturday, October 3.

Old Colony Brewing first moved into the Washington Street space in the center of town in 2020, having moved from its previous space on Route 18.
