Chalawan in Cambridge Is Closing

A Southeast Asian restaurant in Cambridge is shutting down.

According to a Bluesky post from @troysch1.bsky.social, Chalawan on Mass. Ave. is closing, with a Facebook post from the dining spot indicating that will be saying farewell on September 29. The restaurant, which is known in part for its Thai and Vietnamese fare, opened in 2019 in the former Pho House space between Porter Square and Harvard Square.
