A pop-up business that features food with Mediterranean influences--and which also offers delivery service and catering--has found a permanent home in one of the hottest neighborhoods in the Greater Boston area.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Littleburg is planning to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the Union Square section of Somerville, with a Facebook post from the business saying that "The space is a 2,000 sq. ft commercial kitchen in a converted auto garage. It'll allow us to continue offering our prepared meal delivery and add takeout too. Long-term (maybe next spring), if everything goes as planned, we hope to renovate the garage space into an amazing dining room so we can finally host you in person." Littleburg has launched a crowdfunding campaign through NuMarket and was able to meet (and surpass) its $15,000 goal in only two days and is hoping to be in the space by this summer.
Littleburg is known in part for its vegan dishes that has influences coming from Greece, Israel, Morocco, Turkey, and elsewhere in the Mediterranean region.
