A Taiwan-based chain that claims to be "one of the most recognized bubble tea brands around the world" is planning to open a third Boston-area location, with this one being its first outlet in the suburbs.
According to a post from Burlington Cable Access Television, Gong Cha is looking to open a shop at the Burlington Mall, joining other locations in Boston's Chinatown and in Allston. If approved, the new outlet would offer a variety of bubble tea options, including milk foam, brewed tea, latte, yogurt, milk tea, creative mixes, and coffee-based drinks.
Gong Cha started out in 2006 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and currently has more than 1,500 locations around the world. Its website can be found at https://ift.tt/2d0H5Q1
