The building housing an award-winning restaurant that has been around for 30 years is up for sale--and it looks like the dining spot is included in the sale.
According to a couple of sources, including a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, the property which includes 224 Boston Street Restaurant in Dorchester is on the market for $2,500,000, with the post linking to a Coldwell Banker listing that mentions the building includes "first floor commercial/restaurant space with a fully transferable 1:00 a.m. liquor license" and that the business is indeed included in the sale. The sale also includes two apartments as well and says that "The possibilities are endless for this residential/commercial space."
224 Boston Street is known in part for its cozy atmosphere and reasonably-priced New American fare; Zagat says in its listing that it was a "neighborhood game changer" when it first opened back in the 1980s, with the Boston Business Journal posting that Zagat awarded it the #4 restaurant in Massachusetts for 2014 in a list made up of dining spots most frequently named by Zagat respondents as their favorites.
