Bruegger's Bagels in Downtown Boston Has Closed

A chain of bagel spots that is headquartered in Burlington, VT has closed one of its locations in Boston. 

According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Bruegger's Bagels in downtown Boston is no longer in operation, with a sign up at the School Street storefront directing customers to its sole remaining outlet within the city limits (in the Longwood area). The downtown location had been in business since 1986, with the company itself starting out three years earlier in Troy, NY.

In addition to Longwood, existing Boston-area locations of Bruegger's Bagels can be found in Auburndale, Bedford, Belmont, Brookline, Chestnut Hill, Hingham, Lexington, Melrose, Milton, and Winchester.
