A chain based in China that features a food item typically served as a snack or as a dim sum item is on its way to downtown Boston, moving into a space where a longtime bakery had been.
According to a poster (Geoff Wong) within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Canton Liyin Rice Roll Master is getting ready to open on Beach Street in Chinatown, taking over the former Hing Shing Pastry space. The upcoming location of the chain, which got its start in Guangzhou in 2019, will be featuring rice noodle rolls, a Cantonese item that is commonly stuffed with meat, seafood, and/or vegetables and then steamed.
Hing Shing Pastry, which closed in September of 2023, was known for such items as almond cookies, moon cakes, cream sponge cake, egg custard buns, sesame balls, and coconut snowballs.
The address for Canton Liyin Rice Roll Master in Chinatown is 67 Beach Street, Boston, MA, 02111. The website for the chain is at https://ift.tt/xeZaLhd
