A few months ago, it was reported that a North Shore bakery and cocktail bar had closed down, and now we have learned that a new dining and drinking spot is taking over the space.
According to a source, Dockside Pub is planning to open in Swampscott, moving into the former Zestfriendz space on Humphrey Street. An article from itemlive.com mentions that the upcoming place will focus on seafood and that the people behind it (who also run the Village Tavern in Salem) also hope to set up a takeout window for beachgoers and others. If all goes as planned, Dockside Pub will open on June 1.
Zestfriendz shut down in December after being in business for a bit more than a year.
The address for the upcoming Dockside Pub is 286 Humphrey Street, Swampscott, MA, 01907.
