Several months ago, it was reported that a well-known local chef was planning to open a new dining spot at an open-air marketplace in Brighton. Now we have learned that a second location is in the works as well.
Both a Facebook post and a message sent by Avi Shemtov--who is behind both Simcha and A La Esh in Sharon--indicates that Hummus v'Hummus is planning to open at The Street Chestnut Hill, moving into a space next to Star Market. This outlet will be joining another at the Charles River Speedway on Western Avenue in Brighton, with both featuring hummus bowls with a daily rotating list of toppings, including smoked meats and veggies--and they will be combining ideas from Shemtov's Chubby Chickpea food truck along with his two restaurants. Based on a Facebook comment from Shemtov, it looks like the Chestnut Hill location could be opening early next year if all goes well.
