According to a licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website, Cibo is planning to open on L Street, with the address being the same as the former Tasty Burger. The notice says that the proposed spot would include a bar and hopes to have a beer, wine, and liqueur license, while the manager listed is Michael Norton, who is apparently the same person who had been looking to open a restaurant next door at the corner of E Broadway and L Street a number of years ago.
The South Boston location of Tasty Burger sustained damage in a blaze back in May of 2018, with the building being torn down last year; a new development has been in the works at the site, with Cibo presumably moving into a ground floor space if approved. [Ed note: There used to be a restaurant in the North End of Boston called Cibo, but there does not seem to be any indication that the two have a connection.]
The address for the proposed Cibo in South Boston is 69 L Street, South Boston, MA, 02127.
