A neighborhood dining spot in the South End that featured scratch-made dishes with Mediterranean influences has shut down.
According to a tweet from the Boston Sun, Andre's Cafe on Harrison Avenue is no longer in operation, with the post saying that "Sadly, after putting up with Methadone Mile issues daily for years and COVID pressures recently, long-time Worcester Sq. restaurant Andre's Cafe has closed down this week. Owner said she's relieved. It was too much w/ too little help." The eatery, which first opened more than 10 years ago, came under new ownership in 2014 and has been known for such items as hummus, Greek salads, chicken kababs, falafel wraps, steak tips, burgers, and more.
The address for the now-closed Andre's Cafe was 811 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA, 02118.
