A couple of big local names are looking to team up once again to open a restaurant, with this one being in the city's Back Bay area.
According to an article from The Boston Sun, Ken Oringer (Coppa, Little Donkey, Toro, Uni) and Jamie Bissonnette (Coppa, Little Donkey, Toro) are planning to open a mid-range Italian restaurant on Newbury Street that would focus on seafood items. The proposed spot--which does not yet have a name--would reside in a former retail space between Fairfield Street and Gloucester Street and would have a dining area and bar along with two outdoor patios, while the hope is it would also have a full liquor license.
Oringer and Bissonnette's restaurants have won a number of awards over the years, with each also winning a James Beard Award for Best Chef: Northeast (Oringer in 2001 and Bissonnette in 2014).
The address for the proposed restaurant from Oringer and Bissonnette is 276-278 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02116.
