Applebee's Chain Delivering Food to Customers Under the Name "Neighborhood Wings"

A restaurant chain is using food delivery apps to sell meals to customers as so many other dining spots are during the COVID-19 pandemic, but they are doing it under a different name.

According to an article from Today, Applebee's is selling food items using the name "Neighborhood Wings," with a check online indicating that Neighborhood Wings indeed comes up in food searches with two addresses shown being the same addresses as the Applebee's in North Quincy and Boston's South Bay. The Today article displays customers' posts about this on Twitter, including one saying "The Applebees in my town changed their name to Neighborhood Wings" and a second person saying  "Ok @Grubhub why is there a restaurant called 'Neighborhood Wings' on your platform with the same address as @Applebees ?" Scott Gladstone, who is vice president of strategy and development for Applebee's, explains that "We launched Neighborhood Wings by Applebee's on GrubHub to make it even easier for guests to get their wings fix and to give us the opportunity to test out new items made for wing lovers that aren't on our main menu....As we continue to learn from this brand extension, we will be introducing additional innovation to meet our guests' demands."

The article from Today mentions that the Chuck E. Cheese chain is also doing something similar with their food delivery, setting up a new brand called Pasqually's Pizza & Wings.

Thanks to Karyn Regal of WBZ Radio for initially bringing this to our attention.
