An Italian restaurant inside a hotel in Boston's Seaport District has closed after approximately three years in operation.
According to a source, Sapore Ristorante & Bar in the Renaissance Boston Waterfront hotel on Congress Street has shut down, with a check on the hotel's website seeming to confirm this as the listing for Sapore has been removed. Our source also tells us that the Capiz Lobby Lounge across the way has been renovated and this has also been confirmed by the Renaissance, with a note on its dining page saying that the place is now featuring "an elevated decor and offering an inviting atmosphere to take in the vibrant Seaport District views" while stating that a morning breakfast and an upgraded bar menu featuring "locally-inspired" food items is now available.
Sapore opened inside the hotel in June of 2016, replacing M.C. Spiedo, which had taken over the former 606 Congress space back in 2014.
The address for the now-closed Sapore Ristorante & Bar (and the Renaissance Boston Waterfront hotel as well as the Capiz Lobby Lounge) is 606 Congress Street, Boston, MA, 02210. The website for the hotel can be found at http://bit.ly/2WUWnxJ
