Post Road Tavern in Waltham Is Closing

A neighborhood bar that features burgers, beer, bourbon, and more is shutting down.

According to an article from the Waltham News Tribune, Post Road Tavern in the downtown section of Waltham is closing tomorrow (Friday, May 10), with an Instagram post from the Main Street spot indicating that the people behind the place are putting their focus into opening a second Shoppers Cafe in Manchester, NH, which would join its original location on Moody Street in Waltham.

Post Road Tavern first opened in 2017, taking over the space where The Pub had been; the dining and drinking place has been known in part for its extensive bourbon list, while also offering an array of other whiskeys (including rye and scotch) along with bar food.

The address for Post Road Tavern is 619 Main Street, Waltham, MA, 02452.
