Boiled Rice Puttu is a delicious dish that can be served for breakfast or evening snack. While Puttu is mostly made with raw rice, with boiled rice too it turns out great.
Just like me, Konda also loves Puttu and Amma got a single serve Puttu Steamer and makes it often for her. While she mostly makes with raw rice, soaked and made it at home, this time she had the boiled rice flour ready. We have to pay extra attention to how the boiled rice soaks and gets ground. Otherwise its similar to the way the raw rice is made.
We made this for an evening snack and the hot steaming puttu with fresh coconut was an excellent dish to enjoy.
The best part is that when you have the flour done ready, it can be frozen for later use and the final dish takes only about 15 mins max for steaming. This is for the second day of BM#96, Week 1 where I am doing Winter Warmers, so sending this my Kid’s Delight event, guest hosted by PJ themed on Winter Warmers this month.
