A local group of ice cream cafes has closed one of its locations.
According to a Bluesky post from @heyheydra.bsky.social, J.P. Licks in the Mission Hill section of Boston is no longer in operation, with an Instagram post from the business saying the following:
After more than 20 incredible years of bringing smiles on faces one lick at a time, J.P. Licks has officially closed our OBC location. We have the utmost gratitude to our loyal customers and the beautiful memories made in that store over the many years. Mission Hill will hold the most special of places in our hearts & we will miss the beautiful, lively neighborhood. Fear not we have 16 locations across the Greater Boston area, so we warmly invite our patrons to visit them as we depart from Mission Hill. The utmost gratitude for the decades of scoops, smiles, & community. Thank you
J.P. Licks first started out in Jamaica Plain in 1981.
The address for the now-closed Mission Hill location of J.P. Licks is 1618 Tremont Street (One Brigham Circle), Boston, MA, 02120. The website for the business is at https://jplicks.com/
