Owners of Bambolina in Salem to Open Kokeshi (Asian-Influenced Street Food Spot)

The people behind a North Shore restaurant that features wood-fired pizza, Italian dishes, and shareable plates will be opening a new dining spot nearby, and this one will have a very different concept.

According to an article in OctoCog, Tim Haigh and Larry Leibowitz of Bambolina in Salem are looking to open Kokeshi within walking distance of Bambolina, with the new restaurant on Lafayette Street being an "Asian-inspired street food" place that has communal seating and offers a variety of noodle dishes (including ramen) as well as local beers, cocktails, and sake. If all goes as planned, Kokeshi plans to open sometime this winter.

Haigh and Leibowitz opened Bambolina on Derby Street in June of 2015, taking over the former gift shop space at the Salem Wax Museum and Haunted Neighborhood.

The address for this upcoming Asian eatery in Salem is: Kokeshi, 41 Lafayette Street, Salem, MA, 01970.
