Frank Anthony's Gourmet Market to Open at Fan Pier on the Boston Waterfront

A new market is on its way to the Boston waterfront, and the person behind it also operates a grocery/convenience store in the North End that has been around for more than a quarter century.

The Boston Herald is reporting that Frank Anthony's Gourmet Market plans to open at 11 Fan Pier (just east of the Moakley Courthouse), with the 2,500-square-foot shop being what owner Frank Scire calls a "21st-century corner market." The article says that Scire also runs Going Bananas, which first opened on Salem Street 28 years ago and offers produce, meats and cheeses, sandwiches, and smoothies.

If all goes as planned, the new Frank Anthony's Gourmet Market should be opening late this summer, according to the Herald.
