A restaurant in Allston has shut down after being in business for only a brief amount of time, and it isn't know if/when it might open again.
According to a message from Adam Gaffin of Universal Hub and a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Fields West on Glenville Avenue is shuttered, with an Instagram post from the place saying the following:
The ongoing challenges in the current economic climate, combined with recent setbacks regarding us seeking a live entertainment license, have led us to temporarily close our doors. We want to address the updates that need to be made to the space in order to obtain an entertainment license for us to be the restaurant that we had envisioned for the community. It is with a heavy heart that we make this decision, as we understand the impact it will have on our valued staff, loyal customers, and the community.
Fields West first opened last summer in the former Glenville Stops space after being in the works since the fall of 2022.
The address for Fields West is 87 Glenville Avenue, Allston, MA, 02134.
