A Washington, D.C.-based group of fast-casual Mediterranean spots is further expanding into the Greater Boston area.
According to a poster within the Friends of Boston's Hidden Restaurants Facebook group page, Cava is planning to open in Framingham, with a site plan page indicating that it will be moving into a space at Shoppers World. Once it opens, the new location will join other locations in the region in Boston's Fenway and Back Bay (2), Cambridge's Kendall Square, Dedham, Hingham, and Woburn, and a Harvard Square location appears to be in the works as well.
Cava, which first started out in 2011, is known mainly for its customizable bowls and pita pockets. Its website can be found at https://cava.com/
