Bar Vlaha to Open in Brookline

A new Greek concept from a recently-formed restaurant group is on its way to Brookline.

According to a press release, Bar Vlaha is planning to open on Beacon Street, moving into the space in Washington Square that had once been home to Jimmy's Bar & Oven and before that, B & D Deli. The email mentions that Demetri Tsolakis and Stefanos Ougrinis and their new Xenia Greek Hospitality group (which includes new Culinary Director Brendan Pelley) are behind the upcoming dining and drinking spot, with the restaurant group also including Krasi Meze & Wine, Hecate, and Greco.

The press release states that Bar Vlaha plans to open later this fall, and it will honor "the nomadic dishes and hospitality that originated from Central Greece, specifically the remote areas of Epirus, Metsovo and the Pindus mountains."

The address for the upcoming Bar Vlaha is 1653 Beacon Street, Brookline, MA, 02445. Its Instagram page can be found at https://ift.tt/VSqYhds
