One of Boston's relatively few Cuban restaurants has shut down.
According to an article from the Jamaica Plain News, The Old Havana Restaurant on Centre Street is no longer in business, as its lease was not renewed and it has no plans to reopen in another location. The dining spot first opened in the early part of 2014, replacing Tacos El Charro which had been in the space for approximately 30 years.
The Old Havana Restaurant was one of a handful of Cuban eateries in and around Boston, including the nearby El Oriental De Cuba and Miami Restaurant, the latter of which offers a mix of Cuban and Dominican fare.
The address for the now closed Old Havana Restaurant was 349 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA, 02130.
