A restaurant and bar in East Boston has shut down for good and is apparently being replaced by another spot, though there appears to have been a conflict that resulted in the change.
According to a source, Maverick's at Maverick Marketplace is no longer in business, with a check on its website saying "unfortunately, we are closed permanently" while also stating "Please be aware: We have no affiliation with 'Maverick House Tavern'" and ending with "It's been a wild ride, Eastie. We love you." The Facebook page for Maverick's appears to have been taken over by the aforementioned Maverick House Tavern while another Facebook page called "The Real Maverick's" shows many of the same posts from 2020 and earlier which can also still be seen on the Maverick House Tavern page. Our source mentions that the Instagram page for Maverick's--which is set to private--goes into detail about a dispute with the landlord and that they have decided to move on and say goodbye to Maverick's.
The address for Maverick's (and what will apparently be Maverick House Tavern) is 154 Maverick Street, East Boston, MA, 02128. Its website is at https://ift.tt/KmfId2N
