A new dining spot may be coming to a sprawling space in Allston, and a well-known restaurateur appears to be involved.
According to a licensing board hearing page within the City of Boston website, Depot Dining is planning to open on Cambridge Street, taking over the former Pizzeria Regina space. The manager listed for the proposed place is Doug Bacon, who is behind a number of restaurants and bars in the local area, including Hopewell Bar & Kitchen, Harry's Bar & Grill, and The Kenmore.
A couple of years ago, it was reported that Great Scott (an iconic--and now-closed--music club) might move into the Regina's space, but those plans apparently fell through at some point.
The address for the proposed Depot Dining is 353 Cambridge Street, Allston, MA, 02134.
