Barca May Replace Luce in Cambridge

A neighborhood restaurant in Cambridge that was known for its Italian dishes may be replaced by another Italian spot.

According to an article from Cambridge Day, Barca is planning to open on Shepard Street in the space that has been home to Luce since early 2019. The post mentions that Michael Pagliarini and Pamela Ralston, the husband-and-wife team behind the nearby Giulia, would be behind the new restaurant; Pagliarini and Ralston had also operated Benedetto within The Charles Hotel until it lost its lease this spring.

The space in which Barca is planning to open had also been home to Shepard, and before that, Chez Henri.

The address for the proposed Barca (and the former Luce) is 1 Shepard Street, Cambridge, MA, 02138.
