The group behind several South Boston restaurants will be opening a new dining and drinking spot near all of them, and it will be taking over the space that has been home to a local bar that has been around for nearly 20 years.
According to a post within the jobs section of the bostonchefs.com site, Hunter's Kitchen & Bar is opening on Dorchester Street, with the address given indicating that it is moving into the space where The Junction has been since 2002. The post mentions that it will have a "southern fare food focus and a great bar scene" and that its sister restaurants are Capo, Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant, Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar, and Fat Baby, which indicates that Hunter's will be part of the Broadway Restaurant Group.
As soon as we find out more about the place (including an opening date and what exactly will be on its menu), we will post an update here.
The address for the upcoming Hunter's Kitchen & Bar (and The Junction) is 110 Dorchester Street, South Boston, MA, 02127.
