Last week it was reported that a North Shore restaurant known in part for its breakfast dishes and comfort food items had closed. Now we have learned that a new Italian eatery may be moving into its space.
According to an article from the Saugus Advertiser and Wicked Local, Alfredo's of Saugus is looking to open in the former Bistro's space on Lincoln Avenue, with the proposed spot planning to offer such options as pizza, calzones, subs, and pasta dishes. There may be a naming issue, however, as the post mentions that the owner of Alfredo's Italian Kitchen in Lynn has already taken legal action for trademark infringement, saying that there is no connection between the two restaurants.
Bistro's had been in the Lincoln Street space since the spring of 2018, offering such items as French toast, omelets, waffles, wings, burgers, club sandwiches, quesadillas, ribs, and pasta dishes.
The address for the proposed Alfredo's of Saugus (and the now-closed Bistro's) is 240 Lincoln Avenue, Saugus, MA, 01906.
