A couple of years ago, it was reported that the husband and wife team behind two of Boston's best-known restaurants would be opening a new spot in Chestnut Hill, and it was subsequently reported that a pizzeria with a different name would open within the space as well. Now we have learned that the pizzeria is open, though the restaurant itself is still not open.
According to an article from Eater Boston, Mr. Roni Cups opens today within the upcoming Bianca space at The Street in Chestnut Hill, with the takeout/delivery spot offering Roman-style pizza that is cut into squares using scissors, while the space itself has both indoor and outdoor seating. The post mentions that the opening menu also includes such items as soup, salads, rotisserie chicken, sushi, cocktails, donuts, and more along with the aforementioned pizza, which can be ordered by the slice or as a half or full pan. (No opening date has been given for Bianca, which will serve "cosmic continental" fare.)
The Cushmans are behind o ya, a sushi spot in Boston's Leather District, and Hojoko, an eclectic izakaya inside the Verb Hotel in the Fenway.
