Kudaalu | Sweet Poornam Kudalu

Kudaalu or Sweet Poornam Kudalu are Ganesh Chathurthi special dish made with maida pockets stuffed with a sweet filling made with coconut and jaggery.

These Kudaalu are similar to Kajjikayalu, except its made with a stuffing of coconut and jaggery. We also add chana dal to the mix in the other version.

The pictures that I am sharing today are from 2019 Ganesh Chaturthi pooja from Amma. We stopped getting Ganesh Idol made of clay. So Amma gets it for her pooja and keeps it for 3 or 5 days depending.

Amma makes about 5 to 7 different dishes for Neivedyam, while I surely make Sweet Poli along with other dishes like this Kudaalu or Booralu.

I have already shared one version of Kudaalu and this one is with different fillings. The dishes on the Naivedyam plate are Sweet Poil, Kobbari Kudumulu, Medu Vadai, Nuvvula Laddu, Peanut Laddoo, Kudaalu

For a detailed collection of dishes made during Ganesh Chaturthi, you can select ones that are easy for you.
