It looks like yet another Boston-area location of an Illinois-based chain of sandwich shops has closed, and now it appears that only three outlets remain in the region.
According to a tweet from @tlally73, the Valenti Way location of Jimmy John's near North Station in the West End is papered over, with a search submitted on the locations page of the chain seeming to show that it has shut down permanently, as it is no longer listed on the map. With the closing of this shop, this leaves locations of Jimmy John's in Boston's Theatre District, South Boston, and Waltham as the only ones still in operation locally. (Locations in Boston's Fenway/Audubon Circle, Allston/Brighton, Newton, Salem, Watertown, Quincy, and Braintree have closed over the past few years.)
Jimmy John's first opened its outlet near North Station in 2015; the chain started out in Charleston, IL, back in 1983.
The address for Jimmy John's in the North Station/West End area of Boston was 60 Valenti Way, Boston, MA, 02114. The website for the chain can be found at https://ift.tt/1cdAQHu
