A Chinese and Japanese restaurant on the North Shore has shut down, though it looks like another dining spot will be taking over the space.
According to a source, Hoya Chinese, Sushi & Teriyaki in Saugus is no longer in business, with our source telling us that a phone call placed to the Essex Street eatery indicates it has indeed closed its doors, though a new restaurant plans to open there sometime this summer. (We called the dining spot today and have confirmed this.) Hoya offered a wide variety of Chinese and Chinese-American fare along with sushi, bento boxes (including teriyaki options), noodle soups, and more.
The address for the now-closed Hoya Chinese, Sushi & Teriyaki was 467 Essex Street, Saugus, MA, 01906.
