Ironside Grill in Charlestown Is Closed; Exact Status Unknown

A popular neighborhood watering hole in Charlestown that has been in business for a long time is shuttered, and it is not known what might become of the place.

Based on a couple of checks on the spot over the weekend, Ironside Grill on Park Street is locked up and dark, with calls placed to the restaurant and bar going directly to voicemail and the message saying that the mailbox is full. The Yelp page for the place indicates that it is indeed closed, though whether it is permanently closed or not is still up in the air.

Ironside Grill has been open for approximately 70 years, based on an old Patch article.
