A couple of years ago, it was reported that an award-winning pizza spot in Brookline was possibly looking for a second location. Now it appears that this will indeed be happening, as it is making plans to come to Cambridge.
According to an article from Boston Magazine, Stoked Wood Fired Pizza in Brookline's Washington Square is going to be joined by a new outlet on the ground floor of a new Harvard Law School building on Mass. Ave. on the northern edge of Harvard Square, with that site once being home to another pizzeria called Three Aces. The post says that the new location will be much like that of the Brookline restaurant, though it apparently will simply be called Stoked Pizza, as the new spot will use an electric oven--and the space could have double the seating capacity of the original.
In early 2017, we learned that Stoked was scouting out new locations and was asking people where they would like to see them open, with one of the choices being Harvard Square. The business started out as a pizza truck in 2014, opening the Brookline restaurant two years later. Stoked has received much praise over the past several years, including Boston Magazine awarding it a "best of" for 2015.
If all goes as planned, the new location of Stoked Pizza could be opening in early 2020.
The address for the upcoming location of Stoked Pizza is 1611 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02138. The website for the original restaurant can be found at https://ift.tt/2JRtQnj
