New Restaurant Plans to Open in Former KO Catering & Pies Space in South Boston

A new restaurant could be coming to South Boston, and it would be taking over the space where a location of an Australian pie shop had been.

A tweet from @FortPointer that links to a post from @tom_ready indicate (via the West Broadway Neighborhood Association Facebook page) that what appears to be a "small casual fine dining" spot is seeking to open in the old KO Catering & Pies space on A Street, with the Facebook page saying that it would apparently be open for dinner only. Details are few at this point in time, but an abutters meeting took place last night at the site, so more may be known this week.

KO Catering & Pies closed last September after being in business for approximately eight years; its second location at the East Boston shipyard is planning to close later this year.

The address for the former KO Catering & Pies in Southie is 87 A Street, South Boston, MA, 02127.
