In the fall of 2017, it was reported that a new complex in East Cambridge could include multiple restaurants, and now we learned that one of the dining spots on the way will be run by a well-known chef and restaurateur.
According to an article from Eater Boston, Will Gilson is planning to open an as-of-yet-unnamed restaurant within a standalone structure at Cambridge Crossing, an upcoming development near where Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston meet and which had formerly been called NorthPoint. The post says that the place will include a full-service restaurant, an all-day cafe, and a cocktail bar, and it will have a rooftop terrace along with an outdoor patio at ground level based on the rendering shown. If all goes as planned, the dining and drinking spot may open in the early part of 2020.
Gilson is behind Puritan & Co., a restaurant in Inman Square that offers New American and regional fare, as well as Cafe Beatrice, a long-term pop-up eatery in Lower Allston that plans to remain in place until later this year.
