Methi Matar wara Chawaran is a typical Sindhi Pulao made with fresh methi leaves and green garlic with simple tadka that makes this pulao very flavorsome.
During winter when fresh garlic is available, this rice is made frequently. Vaishali got me this green garlic that is roasted in ghee and frozen. So I still have some stocked and will be checking out other recipes that use fresh garlic.
This Methi Matar wara chawaran was one of the dishes that we cooked together when Vaishali visited us. As I had said we just used a couple of pans and one cooker with which we completed almost six different dishes. All the rice dishes were quick ones, except for one elaborate biryani which was Vaishali’s Restaurant’s signature dish. So these simple ones were cooked without batting an eye!
Methi Matar wara Chawaran is the pick for M in the AtoZ Quick Under 30 Minutes, which is my theme in the Biryanis, Pulaos, Khichdis and Mixed Rices, where I am doing Quick Under 30 Minutes Meals. If you want to read some elaborate Biryanis, check out what I have for M in Spice your Life!
