A Route 1 diner is being replaced by what appears to be another diner.
According to a source, Kayla's Diner in Peabody is going to become home to Grecian Diner Tavern, with a Facebook post on the "North Shore Eats Without Greg" Facebook group page indicating that Kayla's is now closed with a sign up for the new place. It isn't known what might be on the menu at Grecian Diner Tavern, nor is it known when it might open, so keep checking back for updates.
Kayla's Diner was a family-owned retro-style diner that first opened a bit more than three years ago; the eatery offered such dishes as pancakes, waffles, eggs Benedict, baked haddock, chicken pot pie, ribs, macaroni and cheese, and a yankee pot roast.
The address for the now-closed Kayla's Diner (and the upcoming Grecian Diner Tavern) is 136 Newbury Street (Route 1), Peabody, MA, 01960. The Facebook page for Grecian Diner Tavern can be found at https://ift.tt/2wnHfwN
