Staycation Chronicles: Seda Vertis North

What do you love to do on rainy days?

I love staying in on bed weather days and just watch the rain pour down while I indulge in a hot cup of coffee by the window. And a staycation at Seda Vertis North came timely two weeks ago!

Hello, Seda Vertis North
My first Seda experience was in Davao back in January this year. It started off with the delayed check in, clogged sink and noisy guests staying next door. But one thing I liked about my stay was how Seda won me back with its superb service. Hence spending the night at Seda Vertis North made me excited.

As the biggest and most premium 5 star hotel in Quezon City as of this writing, Seda Vertis North has been the hotel of choice for business travelers and families planning staycations
We stayed at its Deluxe Twin Room (PHP6,000/night inclusive of breakfast for two) which was basic yet spacious.
The room is equipped with two comfortable twin beds with fine linens that will guarantee a good night's sleep, 40-inch LED HDTV with cable channels, work desk, in-room safe, mini bar, and coffee and tea nook.
The washroom also has the basic necessities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are toiletries available for your convenience as well.
And despite the not so pleasant sight of the informal settlers near the hotel, the beauty of the room steals the spotlight. I love how natural light enters the room and highlights its simple elegance.
After unpacking our bags, we decided to head down to the third floor to check the outdoor pool.
The huge pool was almost empty when we dropped by and it sure teased us to take a dip. Unfortunately, this was an unplanned staycation hence not having swimsuit to wear.
Flow Spa is also on the same floor and you'd definitely take notice of it as soon as you get off the elevator with its calming aromatic scent.
There are four rooms in the spa center wit three for single use and one for couples. It is best to make a reservation if you wish to avail of any of the spa services. Flow Spa is also available though for room service with minimal extra charge.
If you prefer to unwind with your favorite drinks, you'd definitely enjoy Seda's Straight Up Bar. Aside the nice city view, Straight Up Bar offers a good selection of cocktails and bar chows.
But if you prefer something quiet, the club lounge on the 23rd floor is the perfect place for you. It offers a good selection of small bites that could be a nice alternative for light dinner.
Do grab a handful of prosciutto with melon if available as it's pretty good and great with your favorite bubbly or wine.
Dining out is also an option as Ayala Malls Vertis North is just a block away from the hotel. You could also go to Trinoma or SM North Edsa by foot or car for more options.
Working out would be a blast here too with its wide range of gym equipment.
We decided to have breakfast a bit late and went down around 9 a.m.. (Note that breakfast buffet closes at 10 a.m.)
The breakfast spread at Seda Vertis North's Misto has a wider variety of dishes compared to its Davao counterpart. It's something expected though from the biggest Seda hotel to date.
I love how there are two options for bacon--soft or crispy. There are also hot soups like sukiyaki and good ol' classic Arroz Caldo.
Breakfast won't be complete without the egg station and dishes perfect with it such as sausages, fish and corned beef.
The bread station is on the other side of Misto where you could also get your cereal, pancakes and yogurt.
If you don't feel like having the usual breakfast fare, there are a handful of maki rolls worth checking as well.
Go crazy with the different juices! Ask the staff behind the counter for other juice options. Or try one of its detox water drinks.

During our stay, we also checked the other room types Seda Vertis North offers:
Premiere Room (PHP8,200) is a 48 square meter room that could comfortably accommodate three adults or two adults and two kids below 12 years old.
Equipped with a king size bed, lounge sofa and all other amenities you can find from a deluxe suite, this is something worth considering if you plan to enjoy the Club Lounge (as getting this room would give you access to it). Business travelers would also enjoy benefits such as secretarial assistance and IMac stations.
The bathtub too is a lovely touch!
The Corner Suite (PHP9,200/night) is more spacious than Premiere Room at 64 square meters.
Unlike the first two rooms, this one comes with separate master and living rooms giving guests more privacy when they have some friends over.
It also has an ample walk-in closet perfect for those who will be staying for a couple of days.
And if you prefer to just stay in your room, the bathtub is a great way to help you unwind during your staycation.
I also love that it has a microwave!
If you have extra money to burn, I recommend that you go for Presidential Suite (PHP35,000/night). This 160 square meter room is nothing short of spectacular!
The beautifully designed suite is filled with locally made furniture in hues that are pleasant and cool to the eyes.
The dining area could fit 8 guests while there are bar chairs adjecent to it if you are expecting more friends.
There's also a small kitchen near the bar where you could prepare some simple meals. Don't worry about pans and utensils as Seda has it covered for you.
The living area right beside the dining area is spacious too and perfect for those mini reunions with family or friends.
There's also a powder room for guests.
The bedroom is quite similar with the other rooms. It has king size bed and a console-type ottoman, 40-inch HDTV and executive desk.
The bathroom though is something else!
It has a stand alone bath tub that would make each minute of your stay filled with glamour and elegance.
The shower and toilet are on the other side of the huge bathroom with the double lavatory in the middle.

Premier, Corner and Presidential suite have access to the Club Lounge and other perks such as secretarial assistance and IMac stations.
Our stay at Seda Vertis North was great. Everyone was friendly and never fails to greet us with their warmest smiles. Though considered as the priciest hotel in the area, you'd definitely get your money's worth with Seda Vertis North's top notch service.
