A new restaurant could be on its way to the North End of Boston, and it may have a connection to a few other nearby dining spots.
According to a source, a place tentatively called Tony & Elaine's is planning to open on N Washington Street, moving into the space where Amici had been. A public hearing notice provided by the source indicates that the manager of the proposed spot is Nicholas Frattaroli, who is presumably the same Nicholas Frattaroli who is involved with such restaurants as North Square Oyster, Ward 8 (which is also on N Washington Street), and Bodega Canal on Canal Street. It is not known what exactly the concept might be for Tony & Elaine's, nor is it known if this is just a working name for the place, so keep checking back for updates.
Amici was an Italian restaurant that had been in business for approximately 15 years.
The address for this proposed dining spot in the North End is: Tony & Elaine's, 111 North Washington Street, Boston, MA, 02114.
