Pita Cambridge to Open in Former Ole/Olecito Space in Cambridge's Inman Square

A new Middle Eastern dining spot is on its way to Cambridge, and it will be taking over the space where a Mexican eatery had been.

According to an article from Eater Boston, Pita Cambridge is opening in the former Ole/Olecito space in Inman Square, with the Springfield Street restaurant being run by Mohamad El Zein and Radouan Ouassaidi of Moona, a Mediterranean spot on nearby Cambridge Street. The post says that the new place will be a fast-casual eatery open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and it will also offer grab-and-go items and a retail section of products made in-house. (Catering will be available as well.)

Mohamad El Zein used to be part of the Masa Restaurant Group, while Radouan Ouassaidi is involved with two other Pita locations--one in the South End and another in the Back Bay/Fenway area.

Earlier this year, we reported that one of the owners of Felipe's Taqueria in Harvard Square might be taking over the Ole/Olecito space, but those plans apparently fell through.

The address for the upcoming Cambridge Pita is 11 Springfield Street, Cambridge, MA, 02139.
