It looks like the people behind a sports bar in Boston and an Irish pub in Dorchester are taking over an iconic space in Quincy.
According to two difference sources (including one in the restaurant industry), the owners of North Star on Friend Street near North Station and The Banshee on Dorchester Avenue are planning to open a new dining/drinking spot in the former Villa Rosa space on Adams Street. A Bizapedia listing for a company named BKV Enterprises seems to confirm this, as the people behind the business include the owner of North Star and two partners at The Banshee, and we have been told by a third source that this is indeedthe company behind the new spot. It is not yet known exactly what kind of place will be opening in the spot; as soon as we find out more, we will post an update here.
Villa Rosa closed last summer after being in business for approximately 65 years; the restaurant was known in part for its pizza and pasta dishes.
The address for the old Villa Rosa space is 703 Adams Street, Quincy, MA, 02169.
