The person behind a pair of restaurants in New York with a cult-like following will soon debut a pop-up version in Boston.
According to a press release, Ivan Orkin will be bringing Ivan Ramen's dishes to UNI within The Eliot Hotel in the Back Bay, starting with an opening event on Monday, March 6 and continuing for late-night service on Friday and Saturday from 10:30 PM to 1:00 AM through the rest of March. Orkin will be offering a mix of ramen and street food items at the pop-up, including Tokyo shio ramen, a wagyu beef katsu sandwich, and triple pork triple garlic mazemen, with the triple pork triple garlic mazemen remaining available on Friday and Saturday nights.
Ivan Ramen is located on Clinton Street in Manhattan's Lower East Side as well as 11th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, while UNI--which is an izakaya run by Ken Oringer and Tony Messina--can be found at 370 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston's Back Bay.
