Sorelle Bar & Grill in Abington Plans November Opening in Former Vin & Eddie's Space

Earlier this year, we reported that an iconic Italian restaurant south of Boston was closing and would be replaced by a new Italian eatery. Now we have learned that the upcoming dining spot is getting close to opening.

According to an article in Wicked Local Abington, Sorelle Bar & Grill is hoping to open in the old Vin & Eddie's space sometime in November and that renovations are currently underway. The post indicates that chef/owner Andrea Schnell plans to make the new restaurant more of a modern Italian spot than the old-school Vin & Eddie's had been, though the place will retain some of the touches of the previous restaurant, as parts of the space are being re-purposed. Schnell and Sorelle general manager Mark Doherty were co-workers at the Square Cafe in Hingham before deciding to open their own restaurant.

Vin & Eddie's, had been in business since 1955.
