According to a tweet from @goodrichster, Refuge Cafe is shutting down as of September 30, with a Facebook post from the Brighton Avenue eatery confirming this. No reason has been given for the restaurant's closure at this point in time; as soon as we find out why it might be shuttering, we will post an update here.
Refuge Cafe first opened in September of 2011, offering bagels, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, coffee, tea, smoothies, and more. The dining spot had previously been home to the Allston Cafe which had been in the space for about 25 years.
