More than a year after first announcing its plans to open, a new Italian restaurant in Boston's North End is now up and running.
NorthEndWaterfront.com is reporting that Scopa is now open on Hanover Street, taking over the space where Pomodoro had been. (Pomodoro is now open within the Volle Nolle space about a block down Hanover Street.) The post says that the 22-seat Scopa has a "refined Italian" menu featuring pasta, meat, and seafood dishes, along with pizza and bread--both of which are cooked in a brick oven.
For now, Scopa is open for dinner only, but it may start opening for lunch as well at some point in the future, according to NorthEndWaterfront.com.
The address for this new Italian dining spot in the North End is: Scopa, 319 Hanover Street, Boston, MA, 02113. Its website can be found at http://scopaboston.com/
