Sonny's Pub and Restaurant in Dorchester's Adams Village May Be Replaced by New Spot

A restaurant and bar in Dorchester that has been around for nearly 50 years may be closing down, and a new spot is looking to take over the space.

According to a licensing board hearing notice sent by a source, Sonny's Pub & Restaurant in the Adams Village area is petitioning to transfer its business to a place tentatively called Industry, with Martin Davis being the manager of the proposed spot. No other information is given in the notice other than the fact that the new place is looking to receive Sonny's liquor license and that it would be open until 1:00 AM.

Sonny's is a neighborhood dining and drinking spot that is known in part for its pizza and steak tips; according to our source, it first opened in 1968.

The address for Sonny's (and the proposed Industry) is 750 Adams Street, Dorchester, MA, 02122. The website for Sonny's can be found at http://ift.tt/1O918uz
