Blogging Marathon # 58 - 3 Day Marathon for 4 weeks!

Welcome to yet another edition of Blogging Marathon. This announcement is for November 2015.

We just completed our month long Mega BM featuring a Buffet On Table  and what a feast it has turned out to be! Gosh is my bookmark list increased or what! Everybody has done a marvelous job of bringing out the best and its worth checking it out. The recap from all will be out tomorrow.

Meanwhile, let me announce the themes for next month, so that all get a month's time to cook. And also seeing that many have cooked so much, I decided to make the themes simple and easy to accommodate some of the recipes from the Sep Mega BM as well. There is no point in stuffing the blog and the readers with so many recipes in one shot!

So if you had your ears open, you would've saved some, as some wanted these to be repeated

Before going into the new themes, here are the links to some of the BM related pages.

The current 2015 BM details can be found in the Blogging Marathon Page.
If you want to check out older BM details, check the BM Archives
If you are new and want to join us, check out the BM Guidelines and Rules

Now lets move on to the November month themes.

Since we have a month to prepare, please avoid doing last minute posting, prepare ahead and schedule, which should give you enough time to read the fellow participating blogger's post in leisure.

I also decided I will be little more strict in handling late posts. I know real life sometimes becomes very tough to manage. However if you know it is going to be so, please do not sign up. I will understand. But if you are signing up, then I expect you to be prompt in posting and reading fellow BM blogs.

For details on BM held every month, check out the Blogging Marathon page. Once I get all details I will be updating this page. Bloggers taking part in this marathon need to just link back to the BM page.

The entry is again by Sign ups and each theme will again have only 4 bloggers on first come first basis.

And because of the new rules I will not be able to accept late sign ups as it will become extremely hard for me to manage otherwise. If you feel you want to do it, please decide ahead, else you can join later.

Commenting on the participating bloggers post is mandatory.

And subscription to the group will be monthly basis.

If you want to know how the Blogging Marathon started, read the first edition

So the dates will be:
3, 4, 5 November
10, 11, 12 November

Please email me at spicingyourlife@gmail.com latest by 08th October along with your theme.

Themes for BM # 58th will be the following:

Kid's Delight theme ensures my Kid's Delight event, guest hosted by other bloggers gets good entries. Since the event is 16th - 15th every month, we have two different themes happening for BM in a month. And you have the choice of doing two different themes.

Kid's Delight - Cooking with whole grains (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)
Kid's Delight - Pastas for Kids (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)

Please note all entries for Kid's Delight theme have to be kid approved. The dish can be either approved by your own kid, your young relatives, neighbors or even something that you enjoyed as a kid. Do remember to mention the age group of the kid, so that it becomes easy for others.

Kid's Delight - Cooking with whole grains (3,4,5 and 10,11,12)

The 1st and 2nd week of November will be hosted by Kalyani themes on "Cooking with whole grains" She will be announcing the event on her blog by October 15th with theme details.

Kid's Delight - Pastas for Kids (17,18,19 and 24,25,26)

The 3rd and 4th week of November will be hosted by Srividhya Gopalakrishnan, themed on Pastas for Kids. She will be announcing this on her blog by Nov 15th.

Tea Time Snacks

Though I am not a religious tea drinker nor make it a practice of serving snacks for tea, I still love the concept and the days I drink evening Tea, I always like to munch on something. So you can make any cuisine, savory or sweet. Whatever suits your family taste, do share with us.

Salads

As most of you know by now, I am not a salad person nor a soup person for that matter! However I decided its never too late to include these in your plate. So please bring on Salads, it can be light, heavy, however you choose!

Dry Vegetable Sautes

This is a fall back on my sep theme, no doubt. What will you do when your thali requires so many dry vegetable sautes! Please make note, this is not for gravy dishes. The dishes here should be dry poriyals, thorans etc. You can serve it however you want though!

Dips and Sauces

After doing a whole week of condiments, I think many will have loads of dips and sauces. I don't have any though I have bookmarked like crazy! I felt it demands a place and will be interesting to check out again.

Dorm / Single Serve Recipes

This seem to be an on demand theme as couple of friends have kids leaving for Dorms etc. While I never lived in a Dorm or on my own, I hear Dorm these days have provision to let the kid cook on their own. So this theme is to cater to those needs. It can be a Dorm Recipe, where your cooking mode is either MW or Induction stove. Or a Single Serve recipe, that again is cooked in simple ways.

Bring on your Rice

This theme is only with Rice and not Rice Flour! So you can cook your rice in however way you want and share with us. It can be any cuisine.

Special Theme - BM Bookmarked

It can be anything bookmarked, so check your bookmarks and cook them away!

This special theme is open for those who do all the first three weeks.

Please spread the details if you want your friends to be part of this marathon.

Let's gear up for another non stop blogging!
