A.T. O'Keefe's Plans to Open in Former McGreevy's Space in Boston's Back Bay

It looks like a new dining and drinking spot is on its way to the Back Bay of Boston, moving into the space where a sports bar headed up by the leader of a popular band had been.

According to a source, a sign is now up for A.T. O'Keefe's Provisions and Pub at the site of the former McGreevy's on Boylston Street, with a picture sent showing that it is opening soon and currently looking to hire workers for all positions. An earlier article from the Boston Sun mentioned that Andrew O'Keefe would be the manager of the restaurant while his wife Jenny would be the assistant manager, and that they have been involved in the running of a couple of dining spots in Manhattan (they say that they will be moving to Boston, possibly living above the new restaurant). Based on the Sun article, it looks like A.T. O'Keefe's may offer French, British, and American fare, and that they hope to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

McGreevy's first opened in 2008, with the name coming from "Nuf Ced" McGreevy, who opened a bar called the 3rd Base Saloon in Boston in the late 1800s. Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys was behind the place, which announced its closure last summer.

The address for the upcoming A.T. O'Keefe's is 911 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02115.
